Security Researcher

Requirements:

  • Strong background in Computer Architecture, Operating System Internals, Programming Language Internals, and Assembly Language.
  • Very strong understanding of low-level memory management.
  • Practical knowledge of reverse engineering and fuzzing.

Nice to have:

  • Awareness of low-level vulnerabilities such as BOF, UAF, Double Free, and TOCTOU.
  • Understanding of common mitigation techniques enforced by compilers, runtimes, and OS, e.g. ASLR, NX, RELRO, etc.
  • Knowledge of different types of fuzzing including smart fuzzing and coverage-based Fuzzing.

As a Security Researcher, you will be expected to:

  • Perform static analysis and code auditing of open-source software.
  • Run fuzzers i.e AFL++, libfuzzer on both open-source and binary-only applications.
  • Write harnesses for applications.
  • Analyze crashes found by the fuzzer and perform root cause analysis for the crash.
  • Find potential bugs with code auditing and investigating it.
  • Write PoC exploits for the vulnerabilities.
